Helen had her own hair salon in Manchester for many years and started training apprentices in the salon. She enjoyed this so much that she went back to college to gain her City & Guilds teaching qualifications and went on to teach at City College Manchester. Helen moved to Spain and in 2001 opened Hair at Aztec, which now offers a wide range of services including Beauty Therapy, Nail Treatments and a variety of complementary therapies.
David opened his first hair salon when he was 22 years old and owned and ran his own salons on the East coast of Yorkshire for 25 years. He gained his teaching qualification at Scarborough College in 1987 and went on to teach in colleges around the area until moving to southern Spain in 1996 to teach hairdressing there. He eventually opened the David Carlton International Hair Salon, which offers high quality hairdressing services to a clientele from many European countries.
Sue has worked in the hairdressing industry for many years and has been involved in the delivery of City & Guilds qualifications since qualifying as a teacher at Reading University in 1988. She taught hairdressing at both Reading College and The Henley College for 11 years before opening her own training salon and eventually moving to Spain, where she continued using her training skills locally. Sue is a highly qualified City & Guilds trainer, assessor and verifier.
David, Helen and Sue are all committed to giving the highest quality training and have now brought their skills together in Spain to open The Aztec Hair Academy where they offer the chance to students of all ages and walks of life to achieve their ambition to become a part of this exciting and rewarding industry.
